How to make a single elimination bracket

  1. Add your teams

Type up to 32 team names, strongest first. The order is the seeding, so seed 1 and seed 2 can only meet in the final.

  2. Let the byes fall into place

If your team count isn't a power of two, the top seeds get a bye into round two. 12 teams on a 16-slot bracket means 4 byes.

  3. Set the match length

Choose best of 1, 3 or 5. It's printed in the sheet header, so every team knows the format.

  4. Print it or track it here

Print a blank bracket for the wall, or click each winner to move them on. The bracket saves in this browser, so you can come back after every round.

Questions

How many teams can a bracket have?

From 2 to 32. The bracket grows to the next power of two (4, 8, 16 or 32 slots) and the spare slots become byes for the top seeds.

How are byes decided?

By seed. The highest seeds get the byes, so they skip round one and the strongest teams are spread across the bracket.

Can I print a blank bracket?

Yes. Leave the results empty and press Print. You get a clean black-and-white sheet, portrait or landscape, that fits on one page.

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no account and no watermark, and your bracket stays in your browser.
