I disagree. You get to many stalemates on policies and nothing gets accomplished with different parties in those areas. You need people in office who have good policies and fiscal responsibility. And REGARDLESS of their political party, make sound decisions based on whats the best course of action.

I think the democratic party is going to get their asses handed to them in the next presidential election regardless of who their canidate is. Provided that on of the current nominees gets the canidacy. It's not so much that Bush has been a great president but that their nominees just suck really really bad.

My bet is that Gephardt gets the nomination and the Democrats still lose in a severe spanking. They've gone out of their way (desperately, mind you) to make complete fools of themselves in the past couple of years. That will all add up and be remembered come voting time.

Sadly in the real world people like that come around about once every 100 years. I'd rather have a stalemate then the destruction of the environment and tax cuts that will accomplish a greater national dept. Lastly even when both parties agree stupid shit happens like home land security. WTF why do we even have the army(coast guard), CIA, or FBI for???? How about give them money to do their jobs better. Instead of wasting it on a new department.
