Sprint/Nextel question

Question for the one with Sprint/Nextel. I were to call somebody with a nextel/sprint phone, is there a button I can press to go directly to their voice mail instead of having it ring?

you can send people voicemails by accessing your own voicemail and following some prompts.

you can also mark it so that when they listen to it, you get notified.

it will only work, as you suspect, if you have a sprint/nextel phone.

pressing 1 will only work once their Voicemail picks up, it is just a way to not have to listen to the whole voicemail message.
