TWL/NFL Discussion Thread - Week 13

Week 13 Discussion

To specifiy my rules, you can make your picks for Thursdays games in one post, but if you want to wait to make the rest of your picks later in the week, do so in a new post. If you edit the original post after games, those picks are DQ'd because I don't do updates until the week is over. So keep it simple, and just make 2 posts if you want to split up your picks.

IF YOUR NAME IS HIGHLIGHTED IN RED - If you do not participate this week, your stats will be deleted. Miss one week; fine, no problem. Miss two weeks in a row, you're wasting my time. The following members have been eliminated this week for failing to participate for two or more weeks: Abaques, DieselFuel, Evil Napkin

I know I'm late... been a LONG week, been working 13 hour shifts since Monday, won't get a day off until Monday... I'm a zombie right now

I sent you my picks in email form, just like the week before. I was banned at the time. I sent them on that wednesday before the games. The email was titled "week 12 sammysoc's picks" or something along those lines.

I'm assuming, that for some reason you did not recieve my email? Could it have gotten eaten up by your junk filter? I might still have the draft saved in my hotmail. I'll check. What do we do about this?

Didn't get it. If you screen shot me a picture of your sent items, with the date/time visable with the picks, I'll take that

I don't mean to make your life difficult Haydro but Hellfighters and I both were able to make our picks before the Indy game started. You didn't count them though. You did count Cross getting the Dallas game though even though the game was 4 minutes in.

However, and this is just a shot in the dark, I can provide you with the pro-football picks, which I made shortly after I sent that email to you. Its apart of the yahoo fantasy football, I dunno if you play. They require pick deadlines before games as well. So that would at least prove I made the picks. If thats stretching it too far its cool, but I'll post the screenshots anyways. This is the pick league I participate in, and the picks I made. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Just checked, and you're right. We made the same picks exactly, and same TB score. Complete coincidence though, I assure you.

Alright, SammySoc - you have participated since day one, which inclines me give you a break and count the picks you made on that yahoo pick em. However, it has been pretty much a standard of mine not to allow these types of picks to be counted. Counting one persons picks through yahoo one week could lead to some people complaining when they forget to make picks, but do it on some other picks site. See where I'm getting at?

I will cut you a break this one time - unless anyone here who plays has serious objections. I just need you to send me a screen shot showing me that the yahoo account is yours. If it shows an email address, that would work.

Since he would be in a tie for first place and not surpassing it I would not have any objections in that regard. However, to allow people to not follow the rules, even though this is in fun and nothing professional, would likely lead to more people resorting to a method such as this.

I'd say let them count. It's not like this is for money or anything anyway.

Hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't allow it for anyone who hadn't participated each week from the beginning. But he has, and it's that season... so... I can cut Sammy a break.

I'm still in shock the Giants won?!

For the simple fact that the free safety slammed over into Kellen Winslow for double coverage and pushed him in the back with two,TWO FOREARMS and he still managed to get his right foot in bounds...you have to agree that the call was simply awful. That was a textbook forceout.
