So....

What was your most recent expensive purchase?

I went out this past weekend and dropped a boat load on new skiis and boots.

Salomon Impact 10 ski boots ($599)

I'm pumped for this ski season. The Northeast already has 2 ski resorts open for business in Vermont, and more on the way this weekend. This is the earliest start in 10 years basically, so I hope its a sign of things to come this year.

I'd love to go grab COD4, but I need a serious PC upgrade first, which will be the next purchase. It's been on the radar for a good year now, but keeps getting pushed back for other things (wedding, honeymoon, skiis, etc, ).

Hey man, I have a less then stellar pc and it runs COD4 very nicely and it still looks awesome.

Yeah I say if you're within the min. requirements for cod4 give it a shot. I'm nearly minimum on everything and its absolutely gorgeous and runs without fault.

I just spent 25k on a renovation, after spending 285k on the house. And decided I needed a work truck, so dropped 12k on a 99 gmc sierra sle, love the truck, but hadnt paid off the xterra I bought the wife 10 months ago. lol all in all, i spent close to 500k in the last year. I'm trying not to stress out.

If only we could make it as easy as we can spend it.

I haven't bought too much lately, but two weeks ago I dropped $165 on a new North Face fleece. I like it, not entirely sure it was worth it though.

Yeah you'll find it pretty much anywhere.

How do you guys drink your rum? I used to be a Captain and Coke guy, but the headaches were a bitch. Now I drink Jack and Cokes and it eats the hell out of my stomach the next day.

captain and sprite does the trick for me. it doesn't sound so appeasing at first, but give it a shot. it goes down smooth and tastes like cream soda.
