when i put a disk or dvd into my ps2... i get a message that says, can not read disk or something and i cant play/watch any disks... is there a way to fix this?
Your problem is that your PS2 might be one of the early models which had a laser problem or it might need to be dusted or cleaned inside.
other wise you will have to get a new PS2
Try using compressed air to blow dust out, etc. Also, may want to try a lens cleaning disc.
If that fails, or you are currently under warranty, you'll want to call Sony's customer service. I've never dealt with them, so I'm not sure what you'll want to expect. If they're as good as Nintendo and you are under warranty they'll pay for FedEx or UPS to pick up your PS2, send it express to them, and express return it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hek everyone I know that got a PS2 2 years or more ago has since had to get a new one including me, we cleaned the lense professionally and still wouldnt work, also out of 16 games only one would work, which is odd. (High Heat Baseball.. woot) but now we have got a new one and its been running great no problems.

can someone link me to a site with clear directions on how to fix the game? i dont really wanna buy a new one. i have 3 cats and hair is everywhere, that is probably the problem.
