Taking the easy way out

Heres my rant. I understand this is a ladder and people challenge one another. But I find it poor sportsmanship when someone challenges another player and they are told "hey I will be away for work training can we reschedule" Its really not fair to the person who actually has to work to take a loss because the guy throws in the rule book about him not showing up for the challenge. Especially when that guy asked for an earlier time when he would be home and the challenger refused and said this is going to be an Easy #1 for me. Dont get me wrong I know it happens I just feel there should be more sportsmanship then that and that they should not brag they are #1 for something they didnt earn. To be the best you have to beat the best and using the rules for a win when someone has to work is not beating the best. Just my 2 cents and rant. Btw ranting about 1 v 1 Armor Ladder.

No, winning by "No Show" or rules is not getting the best out of competition but rules are rules and either you play at the time set or reschedule but both teams must be in agreement to reschedule or match is set for the time randomly selected and it is just how it is.

Don't get me wrong I understand the rules. But when the attacker had no intention of actually doing the battle after knowing the guy was away for training. There was no reason he should have said "Easy #1 for me in match comms. When the defender asked for an earlier date (day of challenge) or a later date that was response he got. Rules are rules this is just my rant about sportsmanship and taking the easy way to #1 that doesn't make you the best and will still be second best until that battle actually occurs.

Maester you have it all wrong bro. I challenged Outlaw, when he choose the 2 dates they were about a week or more out because of his work. Totally fine for me, i have no problems with that. Come Friday the 13th when we was supposed to play, he writes in matche comms that he won't be able to make it, and that he would forfeit. I never said i wanted him to forfeit, not once. Matter of fact i said, "well is there anyway that we can do it later Saturday night?". He replied back no i won't be home until Sunday. My exact words following his response. "Well do what you think is right" I absolutely left the ball in his court, and in no way did i want him to forfeit. He's the one who did that. I never threw the rule book at him. And if he's telling you that i did, hes a bald faced liar.

In BF2 if this were me and Outlaw I would take the easy win because we were rivals and it was fun to have Outlaw battle me to take back the rank I easily took from him. It was fun to be rivals with Outlaw, Bert, Gomez and the other good tankers because I make them work to win and they easily won over other teams on the ladder because most of the good teams quit after a while. It was not bad sportsmanship it was just a rivalry thing because Outlaw, Bert and the others know I will always reply to their challenge and they always have a chance to get their rank I took from them because I like armor and they know it because I always ask them for a 1v1 tank scrim. But in this case, Outlaw has always been busy since BF2 when he got his raise at work. Ever since then I saw less of Outlaw in public armor servers. But when it comes to rank 1 taking the easy win is fun with Outlaw. But I have played against Venomous in matches and scrims and he plays BF3 tanks as if BF3 been around for 3 years. I don't think Venomous needs or would go for an easy win against anybody.

File a dispute in the future and an admin can make a ruling. There is no need to drag things into the forums.

Rescheduling is a two way street. Be aware we all have things that come up outside of gaming.

Make a challenge Outlaw, I would like to see the winner of you and Venomous in a match. Don't let this stop you, in BF2 this kind of thing made you challenge other teams. I would challenge him but my system specs + UAC3 = Lag from Hell (I would challenge everybody).
