UAC

O.k this UAC messed with me during our match and want to dispute but that would be a waste of time but I refuse to use this big ass peice of shit if we are suppose to keep using it then fix it until then screw that my whole clan and many other's a bichen it is screwing our stuff up minimize my window's and not letting me back in error all the time and made me crash in my match so TWL need's to fix there shit if they want us to use it love the idea and I know that it's not TWL program but the require it and that is now BS we will pull of of the comopetion and start doing scrims only would likee others to have there say.....

UAC along with PBBans are under a DOS attack.

I don't care really this program has not worked since day! 1 any way's. And is causing nothing but problem's for everyone you would think they would fix it.Instead we will be ginny Pig's for them and make us use that UAC.....

Me nor anyone in my clan has ever had a problem with it. I suggest you and whoever else in your clan are having problems post exactly the issue to the uac forums at http://www.uac.ac and see if they have a fix. They usually respond over there very quickly.

When anti-cheats work cheats will DOS the servers.(dDOS)

This is a good thing. Whats more satisfying than knowing a bunch of TWL cheats are so pissed off that they cant cheat here anymore that they have turned to DOS'ing for retaliation.

All we need to do is ride it out and wait for them to turn their zombie computers onto their next target. The very last thing you want to do is remove the very thing that's beating them. Just ride it out and we will have a cheat free gaming environment.

I myself have serious issues with UAC. They're outlined in the other UAC thread.

TWL has still not publicly and broadly advertised that the anticheat they are using takes live screen shots (and only black shots of the in-game..That makes sense)

I think UAC is pretty ineffective, and I am not sure that the DOS attack is because "it's working"

Why do people focus on screenshots as being a good way to catch cheats? Yes its the most visual and I suppose the easiest to get your head around but its probably the least efficient way to do it.

So screenshots are black.. woo hoo... So that makes UAC 1% less effective at catching cheats, big deal.

If you truly believe that legit players are DDOS'ing UAC in protest then wow I don't know what to say..... Maybe moon landing conspiracies would be more up your street than gaming?

And, I never said legit players were behind the DOS..I have no idea how you can infer that?

All I am saying is, you have no proof that it is "banned players" behind the DOS. That's conjecture on your part.

Are we even sure it's a DOS and not a technical snafu on UAC's end? There's a lot more that could be happening, and I just did a quick check on UAC's forums, there's no mention of a DOS attack.

It's shit. Why do I know it is shit? Because I have spent the last two weeks trying to register an account so I can play with my team. In that two weeks time, I've re-sent registration and have emailed UAC directly through the support email they provide on their site on numerous occasions, and have YET to receive any response from them whatsoever. OH, and I cannot post on their forum to garner attention to my problem BECAUSE I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO CONFIRM MY REGISTRATION TO LOG IN.

I was okay at first, but after two weeks of this crap, I'm freaking pissed that TWL has partnered with such an irresponsible, lazy, POS Anti-Cheat team/client.

I WANT TO PLAY, DAMMIT!

Also, I just sifted through their cheaters, and found not a single BF3 player found in the last month.

So, whether or not UAC is good for BF3 competition in my opinion, is debateable.

I am not sure if everyone here understands what UAC does, and what the implications are from a security standpoint.

UAC is the VERY DEFINITION of spyware.

It took some time but the issue between Microsoft and UAC was resolved.
All hotmail/live e-mail password resets/registration e-mails will work from now.

Yes, UAC has caught players cheating in Battlefield 3.

Phoenix, did you use the email that is listed in your twl account?

I took me 15 sec to make an account. Gmail, yahoo, and hotmail will work now.

How many BF3 cheaters have been found via UAC? And more specifically, how many BF3 cheaters have been found in TWL competition via UAC?

It's not just about how many people it's caught... also ask how many people have decided not to hack based on TWL utilizing this and BF3 deciding to use PB.

Probably hundreds.

Also... some of you guys don't really know how AC programs work. You're assuming way too much about this and you're just mad that it's not working as intended at the moment.

Relax.

I am mad at only the program having error's while using it and minimize my game in match and or freeze,,,no its not my pc my comp is most likely better then most so please give real good reason this is worth it? has nothing but error's for me and my friends and people we have played, so please don't act dumb and I am being polite tx for your time but no help from community about the 3rd party softrware

jack is absolutely right. A deterrent is better than a catch imo. I do however have an issue with several of my team mates trying to sign up on the roster for weeks now and not being able to because the pos UAC site will NOT send them an email. it's fucking ridiculous. They've both tried a half dozen times a peice.

An anticheat program may take a screenshot of your desktop. You do know PB has done this? It has, I've seen the ss'. If your that concerned, door this that way ->

Its totally worth it. If it even catches just one cheat it would have been worth it. Whats the point in spending time practicing and working on strat's when some 12 year old can buy "leet hack 27" on his dads credit card and ruin the game for everyone.

Cheats have had it way to easy for way to long. PB and VAC are totally bypassed by paid for hacks. The last line of defense we have are custom anti cheats. Lets not throw that out because a few whiners fail at email.

I really don't want to respond to you, because I remember how much of an utter waste of humanity and tool you are from previous games...

Anyways, we aren't "faling at email." We are receiving activation emails, but they are completely blank. Our attempts to make contact with their support team have been met with silence, which is why we are so frustrated. I have no issues with Anti-Cheats/recording, whatever being used, but when they keep me from being able to play because they don't have their crap together, that's incredibly irritating.

On a happier note, at least one of the TWL admins emailed me tonight and provided me with a UAC # to use, but to email UAC support AGAIN to get another activation email (I have a feeling I'll be talking to him again, lol). So, thanks to that admin for helping with what he could.

Well for you maybe, I avoided that game like the plague (aside from 4, which was the last good one, IMO). I was thinking more like BFBC2, which was still just as laugh-worthy.

You guys crack me up. It is clearly stated in Ac rules that if you are having problems with UAC you have to go to UAC to have the problem fixed.

A few years ago fans watching NASCAR bitched because they were tossing out too many cautions. The last three races this year has had only two or three a race and people are bitching that the races are boring because of all the green flag racing.

You can't make everyone happy!
