PBBans issue......

ok, have tried 3 times, still no luck....

I go to PBBans to get all setup so we can play.

To do that, you have to register a forum account.

I do this. Everything is fine. I get the message that there will be an email sent to me in the next 10 minutes (usually instantly) ..... ok

I wait... and wait... nothing sent. I tried last sunday, same thing, no activation email. Tried tuesday, nothing. Now, tried again today, its been 5 hours... nothing.

So, the question is, how are we supposed to run it if we cant even get it?

Silly question but...did you make sure that your email provider didn't classify the email as spam?

yes i did, was the first thing I thought of.

My isp has a filter, but its disabled (user option) and Live mail, if it was filtered, it woul dshow up in that folder.

im getting nada from PBBans

Have you tried talking to the guys at PBBans via their forums/IRC? They're usually more help than we can be :]

Most people don't have a problem setting it up, there are lots of instructions and lots of people that can help...

Correct the admin on their end has to activate your server. Add your servers manage them in your account. Then when they see your server they periodically check for activating it for streaming.

how do you ask in their forums, when you cant make a forum account? no account, no ability to post.... so, the thought was, since I dont know anyone over there, that someone here would know and pass the word or who to contact.

if you click on their support link.... it loads, no page! If you click on their IRC link, you get a java error.

NT, thats the problem, if you cant make an initial account, you cant add anything. When I entered all the info for the inital account creation, all fields where entered and good.

plus, this isnt so you can setup streaming. When you goto PBBans as a new person, the first thing they want you to do is make a forum account. This is the one that their site says will be emailed an activation link within 10 minutes (usually instantly). Thats what the page you get after submit says.

Download your IRC client of choice. Join http://irc.gamesurge.net. /join #pbbans and talk to @Fozzer the streaming admin.

That is going to be the best solution. Sorry you're having trouble getting an account set up, but it is something we don't have any control over.
