I was connect to the backup server for a match going on right now. WAR vs FOX
I had been helping my team use aacdc to connect. I opened ICQ and it shut my game down. I hadnt intended to play at all. I got an altered files msg. Then I reconnected to it scaned files and rejoined with no problem. Could opening ICQ have cuased this at all?

I get that when i close AA but do not also close the CDC software. if I close both and bring CDC back up then i am fine. if i only close AA i get the altered files message.

I have heard that some people have run into this issue, but I had not seen it until tonight. We had a match tonight, joined thru CDS, then the Game Server crashed during setup...I clicked the "Verify and Join" to "sweep" and connect back into the game server. I recieved a "Hacks Found" message....I attemped to join again, and got some file mismatch error. The 3rd time I attemped to connect, it worked.
For those who have run into this Issue, just keep trying to connect, it will go thru.

Yeah, I ran into the same thing. I tried to connect twice with the wrong PW (doh), and when I fixed that and tried again it suddenly said I had hacks in the textures folder. I restarted the program and tried again and then it said I had hacks in the system folder. I restarted and tried again and it said the program itself had been altered. I sighed, tried once again, and it finally let me through.
That's nothing compared to the problems our opponents had in that match though.

Ok, let's see...
First, I started CDC with the wrong gameserver password. CDC let me through, but since AA doesn't show any error message when you enter the wrong PW I thought CDC had a hickup and tried again, with the same result (obviously).
Then, I realized my mistake, hit myself on the head and entered the correct password, did not restart CDC. It then said I had altered files in the texture folders and that I could not join.
Since I had no altered files and the program had given me a green light less than a minute earlier I restarted CDC and tried again. This time it claimed I had altered files in the system folder and could not join.
I realized it was a bug that changed each time I attempted to join, so I restarted CDC again. This time, the program claimed that itself had been altered - it said something to the effect of "your client has been altered and you cannot join blah blah" or something like that.
I cursed a bit, restarted CDC yet again, and this time it let me through without comment.

In this case i bet cleaner.exe would let you right in Hnefi.
Seen the same myself, and run cleaner.exe, and fixed it. Only bad thing is i have to setup my video-settings every time...

Yeah Vargas, but I don't think it actually matters if you run cleaner.exe. The files were obviously not altered, and the program itself does not alter any files, so there must be a bug in the CRC check (or whatever checks are made) in which case the cleaner.exe doesn't help any more than a regular restart.
Of course, having to run CDC a few times to get in is just a minor issue since it only has to be done before matches.

I experienced the same thing. The program said my files had been altered, and when I tried again directly afterwards and I was clean.

I ran your anticheat system yesterday and everything was fine, I ran it again today and it says I have altered textures. This thing stinks if you get a different message everyday. I dont have cheats and I dont use cheats. They take the fun out of the game. What is wrong with your system?

I agree.. I commend Hydra for his efforts but TWL forcing everyone to use it is raw. Our team messed with the software for a good 40 min AFTER the time of the match until everyone finally managed to get it to work. We had all sorts of problems from one minute it detecting a hack and the next everything being ok. The program is buggy as hell. If these problems persist, my team will pull from the ladder until the PB comes out. Its just not fun anymore.

In our match against HR we ran into lots of problems as well. I got a different error message each time I ran the program and HR tried to fix their issues for a full hour after match time, which took a lot of the fun away from both teams.
I don't think we'll go so far as to leave the ladder over this since we usually manage to connect within 20 minutes or so after match time, but I agree that it takes a lot of the fun away.
