CDC Error on Windows 7 64 bit

One of our clan mates is trying to install CDC to play in matches. He's running Windows 7 64bit. He tried to install the CDC 64bit for Vista but it would not let him install that at all, it just error'd out. he was able to install the normal version of CDC but when he runs it it tells him "couldn't retrieve keys from master server using direct or proxy"

The only firewall he uses is Windows firewall, and he runs Avast for anti-virus. Anyone know how to fix this? oh, he also ran CDC in compatability mode.

Was this a clean install or upgrade from Vista or XP?

I was just forced to upgrade from 64bit Vista to 64bit 7 (Both Home Premium) and so far no issues.
Yo sup fellas,
My system specs are as follows:

Asus A8N32-SLI Delux
AMD Opty 180 @ 2642
Corsair XMS 2 Gig Ram pc3500
Two Nvidia 7800GTX 256 GPU not in SLI
Windows7 Pro

I start CDC it runs through all the checks, gives me a good to go, then instead of starting AA2 it gives me a critical error message as follows:

BTW mine was a fresh install, not an upgrade. And I did a full re-format.
