Because there is news, All Your Base is looking for guests

Since tommorow is to late to get the show I'm shooting on doing All Your Base next week at about 9:30 or 10:00. What I need is 2-3 guests who are not afraid to talk. People who are educated in T:V and the recent base matches would be welcome. I'd even be happy to have a classic player speculate on the recent Catch 22 match. Ways to contact me:

I would say have marantz in there to talk. Would be nice to get his perspective on things since he is classic playing on base.

I would also try to get someone from AC or RiP on here, and about rejoining the ladder and their views on it.

Well, now I know this is TWL and all but there is another league with a lot of base teams on it (my team is on it). Maybe you can include the BEML league and its teams in this. I mean...ZH is on the BEML and they MAY just be the best base team out there I think (not sure) but I THINK ZH just defeated ONE to take the season...maybe get someone from ZH and ONE to discuss the play-off game.

Actually, I thought aO beat ZH in the first or second round.

Yes Zh is a very good team. No excuses for our loss to them. They are the best team for BEML, even beating us. We don't take BEML very seriously either. We just play that for fun. It just so happens we are sorta good at it. But we are also a 7v7 team, that does ok at 10v10. There are alot of differences with just that extra 3 people (or more at times). It would be intersting to see ZH on TWL 7v7, they may just be the opposite of us. Good on BEML and decent on TWL.

And yes I think AO beat them, I think it was the divisional placement match or whatever it is called.

But back to AYB, yes I think it would be good to get some people from BEML over on AYB. Makes for more discussion and more content.

Thats a good subject right there...ONE is #1 of TWL...ZH won the BEML against ONE...what are the differences between the 2. One is top of 7 man, ZH top of 10 man league play...Lot to talk about IMO regarding that subject. TWL play vs BEML play...etc...

I'd disagree here. BEML isnt considered top competition at least by me. I know HA top base competition but seriously, the majority of the base community considers 7 man ctf (on twl) to be the height of competition. Also at least for me, BEML isnt very interesting.

Not so sure about that. Alot of clans awhile back used to play the 7 man ladder "just for fun". Not exactly what I'd call the height of competition.

Anyone who takes this stuff seriously enough for it to be anything other "than just for fun" needs to have their head examined.

Too much stress in real life to make a game anything other than "just for fun"

Matches are just organized compared to pubs. Whether it's the BEML or the TWL or whatever league - it's all for fun and it has no impact on how the bills are gonna get paid, what's for dinner, etc It's all for fun.

Except for fragging HyTek. That I take very seriously since he's such a dope anyway

Razeth just needs to disagree with whoever is in the light of the moment. NM just needs to scrim against Zh 10v10, then after they are done they can tell us how hard the competition was. Don't knock it before you try it raz. (and yeah I know classic peeps will butt in to say, "don't knock classic till you tried it", well I did and I don't like it)

Anyways, yeah..the diffenences between 7man and 10man can be a good topic. But talking about the differences between TWL and BEML isn't a good idea. (even though the topics are somewhat similar to each other)

Aye ZH did defeat us and they are definately a tough cookie. In our only defense, like HyTeK said - we first joined BEML for the extra players in our team who don't get to play in TWL much. Like HyTeK also said it just so happens we got good on that ladder. But we don't ever prepare for matches like we do on TWL. I would LOVE to see ZH join the 7-man base ladder. They are some of the coolest guys and they got mad teamwork skills.

But yeah talking about the 2 different ladders would be something new for you Top_Gun, the random map picker here as opposed to picking your maps and sides on BEML, etc.

I was in no way saying they are a better team...just saying that I think they are a very good one as well. I mentioned this only because there are a bunch of base teams on the BEML that might be interested in this...in fact, if you havent already, you should post about it over there.

This, of course, is completely independent of the fact that Razeth's team(s) has/have had their BEML applications rejected.
