Season 2?

Just wondering when Season 2 is supposed to begin? How much time off is there between seasons? Thanks.

Havent determined an answer to either question just yet. We will make you all aware as soon as we figure that out, we'll start to think about that once the playoffs have concluded next week.

Well lets get the ball rolling a little bit. Like to see how many teams are interested and what if any changes you would like to see for this season.

Quick revives! This is shrub after all, and the quick revive is one of shrubs original and most utilized features. Almost all the good shrub servers out their are set to quick revive. Any thoughts on this?

Quick revives for sure. Disable panzer passing to non-soldiers.

Guys ive been looking over the cvars and i personnallly dont see any settings for passing the panz to non-soldiers. If you know the setting let me know. Personnally a would like a season with the current teams minus the panzer and limited lives. But it is the wish of the majority of the teams that will change that one.

IMO I like the idea of weapons being able to be passed.. that again is another of the great things about shrub.. like mines and smoke and grenade packs... if you start taking that away it may as well be a lame osp match... dont spoil the fun of shrub in this league by turning it into osp...

No panzers and limited lives IS true shrub....just like all the ladders. ULTL + panzers = OSP.

I think 'RUP' and/or =TAO= would join for season #2.

if you want limited lives then go to other shrub plz

dont ruin the shrub league by adding limited lives

Cvars:
g_unlockWeapons default: 2

g_unlockWeapons has 3 settings:
0 - disabled
1 - medics and engineers can drop their gun and pick up mp40s/thompsons/stens
2 - any class can drop their gun and pick up any weapon
3 - venoms/flamethrowers/mausers drop on limbo

Each setting is cumulative.

Yea what MaxPL said. I vote for 1, let the meds find ammo after a kill but keep the 3 man panz rotation from happening.

We already have the shrub ladder for limited lives/no panz play. The panz/unlimited lives is a nice compromise to bring in some fresh OSP blood to the shrub play. Maybe they won't leave the game when the gameclouds are empty in two months.

meds gotta be able to drop, it's just sweet.

I am definitely for the quick revives and unlimited lives. And if there is any way to disable panzer passing...that would be great too! As I said before, =WFL= is ready to start season 2.

thats y limited lives own the hell outta ultl.

for instance, u cant just /kill when u run outta ammo, or charge, u must work with what u have. each time a team member is skulled, is forces a diffrent strat everytime.

someday shrub league will try lmtl i hope :/

Remember that your not only disabling panzer passing with that cvar your also disabling venom and anything else passing besides SMG. This will be a bigger change than you think. There is no panzer passing specific cvar and passing weapons is detrimental to shrub. Please think about this since it also means no sniper medics and venom medics and sniper lt's and venom lt's.

Kinda lame. Those come in really handy. Please seadawg think about this cause it's a large chunk of what we were able to do. Shrub is shrub.. Don't mess with it too much.

Might as well disable mines too then and make the mod osp.

Be honest with you the only thing im thinking of updating is the pb cvars to match osp. One cvar limit across the board would be nice. Everyone said that they enjoyed the season so why should i screw up what Hotniks made good. As soon as i get with Vix i will be getting the next season started. Was thinking 2 weeks of preseason to try a custom or two. Any suggestions?

Also was used, was the preseason map.

I'm for infamy and maybe church. Also, Password 2 has become a pretty popular custom map lately...lots of fun!

Church and Infamy. Also Axis Complex, Tundra Rush, and Frostbite too.

I don't think we should go overboard with custom maps, it should be a good mix of both stock and custom. We want to include as many players as we can in the league, not alienate folks not interested in custom map #2322341

i think church is a cool map

its a pretty sweet map with alot of new features
and a new type of spawn system
if the allies can hold the alarm switch, their spawn is shortened from 20 down to 10

and u can swing on the chandeliers, tarzan would like that map

Someone said Frostbite...just about everyone has that map. That would be a good one too!

-unlimited lives(eh death match is teh gay)
-panzer passing(never had a problem with it all season)
-custom maps(1st season customs were good mayb add mp
bunker)
-quick revives(dont matter to us will take a little getting used to though for those of us that play osp and like to hide bhind revived guys though lol)
***as far as changes go......
- had a few forfeits(none for us btw...so this isnt for our benfit) mayb lower player minimum to 4.(we won a match with 5 and got us into playoffs....huge lol)
- callvote to shuffle hair pullers(too damn good for shrub)

SSI is interested in another season of ultl shrub league - dont have a prob with settings(tho most of the 'cool' shrub things everyone does i dont have a clue how to do lol) but, i do not like the idea of changing cvars to match osp -a member in my clan wolf became more sluggish for him due to his older vid card
