Holidays Off?

What is the upcoming schedule considering the holiday season? Are we taking any weeks off?

Normally unless a specific holiday falls on match day there is no time off.

Christmas and New Years = Saturdays

So I doubt any schedule changes will be made.

Here's what's going on with TeamWarfare during the holidays season:

Match acceptance should proceed in the normal fashion.

Any matches not accepted are at risk of being forfeited.

We're going to maintain a reschedule / cancel policy during the holidays. If you want to play a scheduled match from December 20th until Jan 3rd and the opposing team cannot field an entire team, and you refuse to reschedule, don't expect a forfeit win. All matches are to be rescheduled or canceled if they cannot be played from now until January 3rd.

This is still ambigous.

What is the exact details (with an example) of what can be done? We have several conflicts due the christmass holiday and are trying to reschedual for next week. (Some people left early for xmass due to storms and such.)

The statement above can be mistakingly interpreted to the effect of allowing a reschedual to January 3rd.

I'd like some clarification as to what is allowed for reschedualing due to the hoildays and what the limits of reschedualing are (ie: when would a forfeit be issued.)

We just want to know if it's possible/permissable to reschedual from this Thursday to early next week.

most people still have to work on the 23rd. it's not a holiday yet.

If you have a challenge in a ladder, and the team you challenged is unable to field a team, you can ask for the match to be cancelled. We will not be issuing forfeits because the team has members away for whatever reason. Also, if you challenged someone and now realise half your team has left their frozen homeland in search of sun, we will cancel the match rather than give a forfeit. This relaxed rule is in effect until January 3rd.

In the case of reschedules, we will allow teams to reschedule matches into early January. If the reschedule is beyond january 3rd, we will review the reasons for that on a case-by-case basis.

I hope that clears things up. If not...well, it's 2am and I am doing my impersonation of a sleep-typer, so....I'll try again tomorrow.

so basically our match tonight with paco's familia and/or our match next week with ______ can be rescheduled at any time between now and january third as long as both teams agree to the reschedule time? (this is shrub league, not ladder by the way!)

This relaxed ruling is in regards to ladders only. If you're able to get a team tomorrow please do. If you would like to berate me on IRC, feel free. If you see me as zzz, please note that I'm not at that computer, so don't bother.

Yes this rule applies to ladders only. Matches tonight are still on as scheduled as well as next weeks matches.

Please be more clear in the future. I'm sorry we misunderstood, but the answer quoted from the main announcement seemed to confuse us. Even further, after two times only "ladders" are mentioned we get this:

"In the case of reschedules, we will allow teams to reschedule matches into early January. If the reschedule is beyond january 3rd, we will review the reasons for that on a case-by-case basis. "

Ladders were mentioned in the first paragraph, and nothing about ladders specific or league specific in the second. Which would imply that we could reschedual. Which I take it is wrong.

So in short:

1. There are no rescheduals for League play. You play or forfeit if you can't field. No exceptions due to holidays infringments (indirect)
2. Ladder play can be reschedualed if both teams agree up till January 3rd to allow for holiday issues.

Is this right?
