Inactivity and Empty Rosters

As alot of you probably know there are only about 10 - 12 clans that are active and the rest of the clans are STUCK on "open" lol...I mean why do you join a ladder if your not going to play matches? I also see that alot of the clans don't even have the minimun 6 player rosters. Again..why join the ladder if you don't have enough guys willing to sign up? I wish that more clans would get involved and really get this ladder going! I mean week after week I have watched good clans drop out like ORT, CH, PBG, TE, and ESF are ones I can remember...Thats just taking away from the "active" clans...A.I.M has recently joined and it looks like they're getting their squad together...Hopefully they get active hear in the near future...I don't know...I just wish other clans would get ACTIVE or it would be cool if we got some new clans in here that are wanting to play matches and get this thing GOIN!!! Just seems like its been goin downhill for awhile now...Need to get it going back up!

Our squad will be joining in a few weeks. As you said in your post, if you do not have enough why join the ladder. We have enough players, but many are on vacation. I myself will be in and out when my second son is born in July. So I did not want to set us up if we could not meet eight folks each match. CYa guys soon on the ladder.

i belive there is a minimum team requirement for the ladders. ie the european vc ladder. but there is also generally a ladder activity requirement which means if the admins felt like it could close the vc ladder down (since we have a pretty crumy activity level) if he was so inclined and thought no future growth was going to happen.

also being on a ladder might persuade a few people to join your team since a lot of the hassle has been taken care of and if someone is looking to join a clan,

and they might take a gander at the ladder and see a team and decide to pursue to join that team. mostly it is like join us we are on TWL ladder we kick ass etc etc etc. it makes for a nice recruitment statement.

would you rather hear, join us we are cool we want to play competitively but havn't even signed up on a ladder yet cause we are lazy and this clan isn't going anywhere?? /end sarcasm

it does not apply to all teams on or off ladder but just some thoughts to answer your question.

note that most of the active teams that have dropped are the euro teams who were hounded by US based teams in the forums if i recall correctly, just the same BS that is between east and west coast teams.
