8vs8 or 7vs7 if its 6vs6 u wont be able to utilize any of the great options this game provides, mortar/covert using grand u cant spare it. The Invite groups all want this i say let them go play themselves in a different division if they want to keep playin rtcw style... Not 1 group ive spoke to like the fact of 6vs6 only the invite groups cause its easier for them to dominate.
I understand u want to test it in preseason but why would u change the dynamics of the game so much? to test it all your doin is causing conflicts...
8vs8 is to much due to maps so defencive favored but 6s is to big of a drop.

How many posts have you read on here that asked how this decision was reached, and who was asked?

F&ck me man. Maybe I should just not care and find another game to play. If I *don't* have my finger on the pulse of this supposed community, then please enlighten me. I've asked that from the start. Tell us where this is coming from. Who are the experts that know best, and how many of them were talked to in detail? How was it decided that 6v6 with weapon restrictions was better than 8v8 with no restrictions? Who is deciding what's going into this new required mod? What's changing? What's being added? What's being taken out? I realise you can't answer all of that, but that's why I have to question it being a requirement when no answers are known. And if they are, it needs to be public.

Tell me what I'm missing here.

This is TWL so let them decide on thier own format.

I've polled a bunch of different boards. Consensus? (1)7v7 then (2)8v8 then (3)6v6.

Hope the public gets what they want.

i tihnk that in an effort to get as many ppl as possible on the ladders it would be more reasonable to have 6v6. new clans would have a harder time pulling together 8v8.

Sigh, was hoping the ET admins were different.

Since when has TWL stopped caring about what its players think and prefers to just make decisions and force players to play with those decisions.

TWL was started because everyone wanted more of a voice than what OGL provided. Everyone moved to TWL because it was a ladder by players FOR players.

Remember that, lest TWL follow in OGL's footsteps.

What the hell is wrong with you people? The admins have not decided yet! They are going to test different types of play styles, then go with the one that works best. Stop criticizing the admins for taking the best route.

Actually, if you read, they had decided (7 v 7). We just want to see that it actually came from some sort of community consensus.

Granted, TWL may not represent the entire community, but is there another place with as large a portion of the community represented?

This isn't tribes where people actually listen to the community. Hell, none of the admins here besides possibly zedsdead were here when this ladder was founded. *shrug* I like 6v6, but indeed, polls and/or some sign of the community's involvement would be nice.

Try 6v6 in the preseason. At the end of preseason poll the team founders if they want 6v6, 7v7, or 8v8.

If you play the whole preseason 6's then people wont have a perspective on 7's or 8's.

Week 1 should b 6's
Week 2 and 3 should be 7's
Week 4 should be 8's

Then vote.

the SW ladder had 8v8. the sw ladder now has 7v7. try 7v7 on the ladder. no difference.
