???? [win32]

Well, That is what my name said on /cheaters yesterday as everyone else said "Clean [win32]", im beginning to get suspicious of myself. On a serious note, what causes that, A certain CVAR? Setting? Tweak?

MSN Messenger and Xfire have both been known to cause that from time to time. Beyond those two, I've not heard of anything else causing it (not that that makes it impossible).

Window's blinds is another program that hack's Open GL. Best thing to do is take the output from /cheaters and post it on bani's website. They can tell you what's causing the problem.



As for Xfire I know it's output [Strange Win32] not [??? Win32]

Do what the pic show's below to fix it..

I strongly suggest anyone playing ET or any other Quake 3 engine game not use MSN while playing. It is well known that MSN popup ims can cause an effect that basically gives the player a wallhack. If you're caught with a pb screenshot of this, the same penalties will occur as if you d/led a wallhack. I know nos that is not your intent, but given that this has been known for a long time, we have to view it this way.

Well as long as you uncheck what is above int he Xfire Options you can leave it on. "It sends IRC messages to your game console"

I know I have seen 20 to 30 posts on Bani's forums and he comes back saying it's windowblinds/xfire. Since Xfire "with in game Messgeson " and windowblind's Hack's OpenGL to do it's thing ETPRO sees that as a Strange/??? so .....

and he's known about it too for a long time so he shouldn't be using it at the same time.

i remember this did come up with the gamecloud servers and a player (using msn). it's good that twl is taking this stance because that IS an exploit.

I did a search in ETPRO forums for "windowblinds" and found 5 examples and all were [??? win32]...

I like to have xfire on when i'm pubbing on servers, just because the server admins get their jollys of finding a 'cheater' when they do a /cheaters and suspect me.

OK, i dont want that EV1l guy messaging me anyway

lol, i couldn't figure out which msn account you use if i wanted to. when microsoft says they have 14 million users, it's really 30,000 with the rest of them hotmail accounts by nos.

incidentally, i just hopped on et pro 3.19 server with xfire running and got a clean win32 nos......

Did you have "Show messages in Game" checked? That's what causes it.. If you didn't check it and restart Xfire..

getting back to the topic, i fired up x-fire and i was getting a clean win32 nos. at any rate, you should keep that stuff off. i know one player had a lot of problems because gamecloud took a pb ss of what looked like a wallhack, but it was the msn/pb psuedo wallhack.
