Revamp of an old SinglePlayer Training map

Some peeps may remember the Mid-Air training map by makavelli. A couple of months ago I revamped it to work with classic, and ended up adding a bunch of other things to it. Among other things you can practice all the weapons (including mines) and the bots do a fair job of swerving around. This weekend I fired it up out out of T2-deprivation and cleaned it up for public use.

My guess is most folks who hang on these forums won't have a lot of use for this, but on the off chance that you know someone who's more on the newbie side of things and getting into T2 Classic Mod, you might want to point them to this. I think it's not a bad start on learning to use any of the "dueling" weapons.

Thats pretty sweet. Is there a way you can select the model you want to use? It would suck getting used to the male, when you use a derm when playing t2, cause the weapon placing is so dif.

I never thought about that (I play in male human). It is probably necessary to make a mod of the single player "mission" type to do that. But yes, it should be possible.

very cool imho, but could u add a "ping simulator hud" in which u could add the desired ping? would be very useful =)

is there any way to make it serverside? that way you can just connect to it and have your desired ping. Or it is serverside. I didnt read the first post.

Cool but needs model select

I used to just go on a server with a friend/clanmate and just take team damage off, and add 999 ammo. Then just MA the hell out of eachother. Great practice.

Just change your "Simping" in /gamedata/base or classic or both/prefs/clientprefs or servers prefs.

to the best of my knowledge, you can make it either permanent or temporary.

Temporary:

Type in console:
$pref::simping=1337;

Permanent:

Find in clientprefs.cs:
$pref::simping=0;
and change to
$pref::simping=1337;


Replacing '1337' with whatever your desired ping is.

Although, I have not actually notice anything when I try the temporary way

So I may be wrong.
