T:A

Because you all dislike T:A, here's a video of me being really bad with the sniper rifle. This will probably consume all of your bandwith and you won't be able to watch it without buffering every 3 seconds.

Edit: Took it down to manageable embed dimensions.

lol @ you trying to lead your shots to counter for your movement. TA projectiles don't inherit velocity, at least they didn't when I left the Alpha.
That's what tribes should be, walking around on the ground with a fkn sniper rifle
can you just make videos 480x360 with fullscreen option, thanks

Velocity is rarely a factor for sniper rifles in first person shooters, but latency has and always will be at least some what of an issue that requires adjustment when aiming.

Sometimes lead not to compensate for lag, but because I think it's easier to have the target come into your sights than moving your sights onto the target.

Example clip of me sniping in TF2, where latency shows me hit nothing, but the server registers a hit and the resulting kill:

I use Fraps. Recording is really simple, and a lot of different programs can functionally do it. Fraps, like any other recording program, only records everything on your screen and spits out an uncompressed video file. The uncompressed video files for me are typically 6gb per 2.5min of footage.

Encoding the video is where you'll see a difference in quality. There's a ton of different settings and methods that you can encode a video, and a lot of people don't understand the nuances of it so their video looks bad.

If you have Adobe Premiere Pro suite, then you probably have Adobe Media Encoder packaged with it. If you or anyone else wants my presets, I can email my profile to you. You'd only need to change the resolution but everything else is set up to output really nice quality videos.

oh hey faggot. it's really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. you can compare it to Tribes 2, but you're going to be disappointed.

The way I look at it is that it takes more skill than TF2, and I can't stand playing war based FPSs (overdone/boring) so it's decent if you let it stand on its own.

It seems foreign when you first enter (obviously, it's a different game) but if you give it a solid chance then you'll enjoy it.

They need to work on the jetting, there's not enough umph factor on it and you can't stay in flight for as long as I'd like to.

Despite what anyone says, it has potential. That's potential for getting worse or better.
Very nice quality AnarchyAo. Isn't Adobe Premiere like $700?
Your T:A looks way better than mine too. Me thinks I need a computer upgrade. Dual core and 9500 isn't cutting it.

Figured it was FRAPS, thanks for the confirmation and details. Maybe I'll toss up a couple clips.

tbh, I kinda like the game now that ive played it a bit. and the patch seemed to help some of its many flaws. long way to go to be a great tribes game like the 1st 2 for sure. Having fun playing the beta tho.

if anyone wants a key to try it out, pm me. I have 4 to give away.

Everyone is complaining about the changes and me taking off from every lifelong responsibility for the past week and playing 16 hours a day, I can honestly tell you that the changes are in the right direction.

The physics changes are incredibly noticeable to me, since I played for so much pre-patch.

Each armor type has wildly distinguishable differences in speed now. The way it should be, and it more mimics the way Tribes 2 handles the different armor types.

I do think everyone needs more energy, though.
poor pengo, he's the only god damn player you killed

1 question plz: does it have the chaingun

looks pretty tight actually
