This is a great idea but ppl would take advantage of it somehow some way. Good luck trying to make it fair. To many win at all costs ppl out there.

You could just make a pool of people to co-captain, then randomly draw to pair captains. I actually like the idea of co-captains.

that would just allow for the possibility of two people being paired who don't like each other or who might potentially not work well together. I think if each captain just asks a person they want to co-capt then it's really just the equivalent of getting the first draft round out of the way early since most captains would be high draft picks anyways.

the only downsides are that every captain would have to do this, and there might be some who don't want to. The other is that the less experienced/connected captains might have a harder time finding someone to co-capt.

i would take essence as my co-capt. but pretty much only to make him do the dirty work and get everyone mad at him. therefore making me look like the most benevolent capt ever.

Darkstrand actually worked pretty hard on strats, and with the team. Yes, I had issues with him, (is this news? he's been pretty horrible to me for years), and I don't think he'd do well as captain who has to negotiate with other captains because he's too quick to go full dirtbag (never go full dirtbag), but he brings a sense of order to a team. I didn't see anything to indicate he knew up front about mossy oak. I have no idea what went on behind scenes...but I don't think ds cheated in that situation from what I could see.

Just don't team him with any women.

I think most will agree with you that DS knows this game and can lead a team succesfully. Its the underhanded things he does in the background that makes him an issue. Removing 1 person from participating in this tourney is going to make it that much more enjoyable for the other 150+ that play.

I'm very much for holding people accountable for the crap they pull and hopefully making changes to allow for fun, fair game because I just want to play with no cheating, no bs.

This just seems a bit scapegoaty to me... the puzzle is more complex. The answer to the puzzle isn't always "DS did it all!" He definitely did some crappy stuff, but he didn't do it all. Maybe if he were funnier and more fun, we'd just look the other way.

From what I've seen, 99% of all the drama that happens on here stems from 1-3 people.
