Alot of people have been PM'ing me about the details of the tournament (fairly enough). It took so long to do thins because i wanted to get it right and make sure that the team of captains all are comftorable with them.

1) Matches will be 12 vs 12. captains can play 13 or 14 a piece if both captains agree to play more. There is a sub pool to draw from if a team cant field 12. tourney moderators must agree on the players chosen to play out of the sub pool.

2) Maps will be pre-decided and all team will play the same maps for the respective round/day. ie. Day 1 round 1 all teams will play harvester, damnation and feighn. (sides and tie breaker map will be decided at a later date). and these ARE the first 3 maps that will be played on 3/6.

3) on 3/6 every team will play their 1st match. (bracket positions have not been decided yet). Matches will start about 1 or 2 hours apart so the shoutcasters will be able to play and cast. Because the 1st round is round robin and there is an odd number of teams 4 teams may need to play 2 matches on sunday or work something out. Gunther has expressed that he only wants to play on sundays, so if there is another team that feels the same way we will try to accomidate you both.

Fuck yourselves.

All of you.

Seriously.

That an entire community of asshats went out of their way to completely destroy all the fun in this game for me is beyond fucked up.

I hope this shit falls completely apart.
malan, i dont think anyone went out of there way to mess things up for you. dont take this stuff to heart. why not show up to the matches/scrims be the bigger man here play for your captain and show us that we were the ones who are wrong. thats how you could get the last laugh.
is he upset about being picked last? lol, fatty.
the best part is that wasn't pre-meditated or planned by the captains
Matches for Vici can only be played Thurs or Sundays no later than 9est to accommodate the euros on my team thanks.
It's funny that Malan thinks he would have been picked last if he weren't a last-pick quality player. Though really, that's one of the more reasonable of the completely ridiculous things Malan vehemently believes, so there's pretty much no way anyone is ever going to convince him otherwise.

This is just a thought, but if we're doing round robin to determine the final 4, then what if we play all 3 maps regardless? This way if there is a tie in the standings it can be broken by things like map win count, and also will provide more opportunities for everyone on a team to get playing time.

also, how is there an odd number of teams with 10 teams?

Could either do all 3 maps, or just count the first two.

Malan, I don't know who you are or where you come from, but given the way you behave, it's not a surprise to me that the community treats you the way it does. I think that if you really want to improve your standing with others, you should improve your attitude.

do matches usually end up on the same day of the week? and how far in advance are they scheduled?
New additions to the tournament set up!!!

1) teams will play all 3 maps in round robin round. teams will get 2 points per map win, 1 point for tie, 0 points for a loss. the teams with the most points after the entire round robin round will advance to the single elimination round.

2) Teams will be required to play their matches in a 1 week period. captains must both agree on date and time of their respective match. ie. your team has from 3/6 to 3/12 to play your match. this will allow captains to decide when they can have their players availiable. (most feedback i have gotten is that most captains want to play on sundays so most matches will still be on the originally schedueled sundays)
So do you still play OT if you tie, with the winner getting 2 points?
we have not decided on sudden death ot yet, but plan on playing all 3 maps

I think the idea is that if you are required to play all three maps, time constraints and stuff make it tough to require OT. Which is probably why they give a point for ties.
Is the single elimination bracket going to be seeded by the round robin?
