*Slight* problem with gfx

A friend of mine is having graphics problems with his ATI Radeon 7200. Quite frankly I haven't a clue, since I hate ATI in the first place. My advice was get a new gfx card...he feels otherwise. Here are two screen shots of what's happening.

NOTE: V-Sync is turned OFF

This is a clean install fully patched with zero scripts installed. The driver is the MOST recent driver from ATI.

Other Settings:
Vertex Lighting: Off
ALL Dynamic Lighting: Off
Texture settings: 2/3
Bit Depth: 32 bit
Anistropy & Particle Dens: Minimum

System Specs
CPU: P3 800
Memory: 384 MB
GFX Card: ATI Radeon 7200
Driver: ati2dvag.dll (date: 7-9-2002)

Does anyone have any idea for a fix or have seen this problem in the past. Thx.
No idea. Maybe try older drivers. I get that sometimes with my GF3ti200 (rarely), but a reboot corrects it.
I dont see anything wrong in the those ss's, its what I see........

thats like so cool.. leave it :p
SHWEET! Can i have it?
It is probably VIA 4-in-1 that needs updating, as well, the newer ATI drivers aren't the best ones, try the earlier ones.
There is a known issue with Tribes 2 and newer ATi drivers. What your ss's show is that issue. Get an older ATi driver or turn on interior fog and deal with low (like 4 fps) in certain situations (entering the remote towers on kata for example).

he's correct, and i believe that only happens with the Radeon7xxx series and the classic ones.

my 8500 runs T2 wonderfully.
heres the real solution :-)
either go back to february drivers for your card, or get the new ones and turn on interior textured fog

that workx^^^

i m sexy fruit
from my experience the new catalyst > omega in fps although the omega may have slightly better quality (better sharper cleaner graphics)
I have pretty much the exact same system and I used to have the same problem. Going back to drivers from Feb (as said) is what worked for me.
rof leave it like that? haha...

Thx for the help guys. it's appreciated.
