Assignment Question

Historical capture recovered from the Wayback Machine · captured 2013-10-24 · 8 posts
According to the rules, we get random matches until next week. but this week blue division has appeared to be matched based on record. green on the other hand, looks to be matched randomly. i know its possible for these match-ups to come randomly, but is extremly unlikely. just wondering if this was accident, or if this was actualy random.
thx
Good Question..

while that is true, it's not what is happening here. Toker is right, blue matches were seeded and green were not.

Well green division really isn't that "Random" either this week. Every match except for SoP vs 160th SOAR has a team with a winning record playing a team with a losing record. And the only reason that that one match is not is because SoP has two forfeit wins....conspiracy? lol

Actually it does. Personally id rather have undefeated teams playing actual winning squads to sepetate the men from the boys.

Thats why we have Invite, Intermediate, and Open divisions, fool.
It actually wasnt deliberatley done that way...... didnt even notice till I just read this post. But oh well I guess we get to start seeding the teams out a week earlier.

Edit: Let me clairfy a tad. I have a chart that shows all the teams and who they have played (no records btw) The first few weeks I pick one team then make a diagnal line and pair the teams up, unless they have played the team already, then I choose the team below them. Blue division I happened to pick the right team in the correct direction to have it appear as though I had deilbertly seeded them. It wasnt the case. I guess I know in the future I know not to pick the same line again

And since I am sure some teams will be asking soon. Next week all matches will be seeded and matches will be chosen by looking at teams records. If you look on the competion page the teams are listed according to their records and how many points they have earned. I will be taking the teams on that list and makeing matches. Normally the #1 team will play the #2 team, #3 play the #4 team. etc etc. However teams will only play each other ONE TIME. So if say #1 has played the #2, #3, #4, and #5 teams already, then they will be playing the #6 team on the list. This is done this way so that we know which teams are indeed better than the others, and which teams are most deserveing by record and performance to see who goes to the playoffs. Also this gives the lower ranking teams some time to grow and learn as a team and to finish the league out with out getting completly discouraged because they get stuck playing say the #1 seed team and getting blown out 12-0.

Hope that clears somethings up for you guys.

Great explanation of how the draw works. Shouldn't be anymore doubt over this weeks draw now.
