Roster lock question

I'm wondering what the point of locking rosters during regular season is when teams are allowed to add players to their roster in the post season?

I've thought about it a bit and I really can't come up with anything that makes sense. Is this just an oversight or is this intentional? If someone could shed some light on it that would be swell.

And before anyone says some stupid thing about "umad u lost?" or something like that: No, I'm not. We played like garbage and deserved to lose the match. Please keep the thread about my question.
I'm not sure if I understand your question exactly since it was a big run-on sentence. But I don't really understand the sense of TWL locking the rosters pretty much all season and not letting up till the beginning of playoffs either.

There was a short period before playoffs that allowed for roster additions so even if you weren't able to add players during the regular season (and your team made it to playoffs) which yours did... Then you could make your additions then.

Overall I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, by wondering why rosters stay permalocked almost all season. Even though... it is TWL and it's just meant for fun... but still.

I'm well aware we had the same opportunity to make additions; that is not my point here at all.

The rosters being locked all season makes complete sense if they are trying to foster a competitive environment for the league. You create a team and play with those members of a team for the season. What doesn't make sense is unlocking the rosters in playoffs after they were locked the entire season.

I can honestly say it makes no difference to me whether they left the rosters locked or unlocked for the entire season, but it should be consistent.

On a side note I'm not sure where the comment about the run-on sentence is coming from. That is in no way a run-on sentence, nor is it confusing.
