Possible playoff modification

At the current moment(Week 5), we currently have 44 active teams in league.

Originally playoffs were suppose to be top 8 teams... but I wasn't expecting a turnout like this for the season.

I propose a round of 16 before, the playoff format would look like this:

Round of 16 - TBA (12/13) <--- added extra round, top 16 teams
Round of 8 - TBA (12/15)
Round of 4 - TBA (12/20)
Finals BO3 - TBA (12/22) <--- new date, before amnesty


Please post what you think about this. We need your input as soon as possible.

Firstly, there are not 44 active teams

/viewteam.asp?team=xtcgaming Only played 1 match? Think I remember them posting for make ups though so I could be wrong about this team.

A few other teams with only 2 matches played, so not sure whats going on there.


But anyways, I would love to see top 16 make it in, as anything can happen in playoffs. I would also like to see double elim in there but I guess that takes too long.

We're aware that there's more clean-up to do to remove new inactive teams. My staff are working on it. There's new teams that were added at the deadline. It's up to them to schedule their make-up matches to have a shot at playoffs.

I agree with SAMS. Top 16 sounds good! And Double Elim to make it interesting! I never liked the "lose once your out" Some days people have a bad day.

So now that the amnesty date starts on the 17th, are we going to see the playoffs start after the new year or possibly split the playoffs?
