Server Config Clarification

It is imperative that all teams know that the servers must be configured to fit 24 players - not 32. The ticket ammounts change based on the number of players on the server. The starting ticket count for a 32 player server is too high so please configure your server at 24 players.

I thought it had to be 26 for 12vs12 incase the match was shoutcasted ????
This was our impression as well. I thought 26 for admins and shoutcasters. If the rule of thumb is 24 what happens when TSN wants to broadcast a match?

you then edit the config accordingly? just like you edit it to turn on freecam, which is usually off, but ON for shoutcasted matches.

i talked with xeno|TWL in IRC last night and he said that the use of CAL cfg servers was acceptable for use in TWL. Based upon that, is it correct for me to imply that we can use the player count of 26 (CAL standard) as well? Or must we change our config for each match. Or... are all my assumptions, stated above, incorrect?
for a server to be eligable an admin must be able to get into it. 26 is min.
You need to fix the rules then. As it says 24 on there.
yes we are in the process of updating last seasons rules.
I fixed my server(s) config for 26 players. I had no idea that actually impacted the tickets. Thx pol, zed and the rest of the admins.

glad to be of assistance.
Dont forget to set the 8 man match servers to 18 instead of 16 for the same reason.

Stay tuned for more rule changes as we tweak them.
Just to double check here since i dont think i got a straight answer, with the servre player #'s set to 26, its ALSO ok to use the CAL server settings instead of having the TWL settings on a seperate config? Just want to make sure i understand so as to avoid any later headaches.
Currently there are 2 differences in the configs between TWL and CAL (For 12v12 league)

They are as follows.

Max Players TWL=26 CAL=28
Start Delay TWL=60 CAL=30

Those will more then likely be evened in the next day or so. All other settings are identical.

Keeper

PS..Stay tuned as the rules are being adjusted to keep teams from having to worry about which configs they have loaded.

actually CAL is 26 now too.. so that wont play a factor. The initial spawn delay wont be a problem as that can be set without a hard-restart of the server. SO i dont htink you guys will need to make many adjustments, but i will keep an eye on the boards. Thanks for the info though, appreciate it.

Is that a typo Keeper or is that what its going to be for TWL? I thought it was 24 as the right now rule and going to be 26 soon?

I'm sorry I really would read the rules but a) I'm lazy and b) I don't have time. Sorry

Keeper, does that mean the TWL is going to drop the time limit? Cuz right now CAL has no time limit while the TWL time limit is 30 min.

I agree with the no time limit.
the league is dropping time limit..yes
