Battlegroup 42

Anyone who wants a change of pace, different maps, and (imo) better gameplay than forgotten hope, check out battlegroup 42. It's been out for awhile but doesn't (I think) get the credit it deserves. I run a combination coop/conquest depending on how many are on. Great tank builds (Every tank you can think of, from the Tiger II to the Jagdpanther, Russian and American also), sound effects, and the addition of the P-47, Me-110, and Me-262. Oh, and watch out for the backblast on your bazooka

This mod should have been BF '42. If you haven't checked it out you're missin alot this is an excellent mod. Much better than FH. D/L it!!!

Pro mod isn't crap to this. The creativity that went into this mod is exceptional. Also, they have like 40 new maps plus all the vanilla ones are redone. Bocage actually has hedgerows LOL

This is much better than FH.

I haven't downloaded it in like 3 years or something. I remember it being pretty good.

Does this server have players? If you can organize a night where everyone plays, I will make the dl again.

Much to your suprise Grassy, there are no "active" rules on my server. I just ask that language be kept restrained (language tirades or personal/offensive attacks aren't tolerated), and tking and stupidity don't ruin it for others. Typical common sense stuff. Unlike competition, I could care less if someone pixels in a pub. They are 2 different animals, imo.

Jeremy, we have people on every day playing. The number varies but at times we have had 10-12 playing at one time. Like I said, for the moment I run coop to fill the others (It'd be great if I didn't have to but it helps for now). Alot of the players we have are Euros (server is in Chicago so their ping is low 100ish) so playing times vary but I'd like to see more from NA get into this as the maps and play are the best '42 has seen. People who want a reinvigorated '42 should give it a try.

Oh, and yes they are still working on it. New patch 1.5 to be released sometime soon, so unlike other things in '42 this is still active.

Coop is the only option for struggling mods. Surfals really helped re-populate RTR with their co-op server.

Just played a little of it in singleplayer. Actually looks pretty tight and there's a TON of new maps with it.

Maybe I'll hop on the server later tonight.

I enjoyed the part about no active rules but language is restricted. Everyone knows video games would be so much more fun if only they were more conservative.

Lol. I was asking about another old mod called action battlefield. It is the original 1942 mod. It is the best one ever made.

Just played a couple single player maps. Me262's P-38's all kinds of different armour whats not to like. Download time was almost 2.5 hours @ 370/kbs someone should zip those files. This MOD is way better then any of the RtR or SW maps.

I had a couple of the HG guys DL'ed this mod. We are loving every second of it. I am soooo tired of the vanila version this mod has made BF42 fun again.Also the bots are alot better then regular BF42. We should try to set up 1 day a week and play this sucker. If anyone wants to play contact me on xfire azburnin. Dog Pwned 2 is server we can play on also.

AZ hit me up on xfire sometime and I'll set you and maybe someone else who's interested with admin on my server so you can switch maps when you come on.

Cool bro I'll keep a eye out for you. This mod is really fun hope we can get more people to play it.

It uses the standard 1.61 bf'42 patch. The 1.5 version is the BG '42 version in use.
