Remote Dedicated Admin questions and more :)

Hey sup all. I need to know if you can start a server without being the "root" or "Super User" and how I would be able to allow that. Also how do I change the priority for the server it is currently set at 18%. Thanks a lot.. much

Do you mean a dedicated server?
There are some great utilities out for running dedicated servers if that is what you mean.

http://www.blackbagops.com ..this is an excellent prog and we use it on both of our servers.

U running on linux or windows? I use the above link software for the windows server because the bf42 server keeps crashing on me with some dialog box saying "bind failed". This program is great for keeping the server up and running. I am not familiar with the linux side of it though.

the renice command will up the priority i believe and i am thinking that you may need to have SU or root to run it properly but i'm not 100% on that. I know that i do need SU to run the ventrilo server on a linux box i have it setup on.
