Favorite Old Version

For those that are still around what would you consider to be the last good version number of this game? Basically if you could go back in time and load into an old server which one would you go back to on a regular basis?

Which version had the ragdoll effect implemented?

I don't remember now what came in which patch. I fell in love with Urban when it came out, so maybe that patch.

Having hard time too remembering what had what. Ragdoll effect was just awesome when it came out and 1.5 had WC SE also included so I would say that. Though I really do not recall anymore what bugs etc the game still had back then.

When did we loose Homelan ? I remember preferring homelan servers over sci anytime..

1.9 was the last patch that was worth shit.

I'm still going to say 2.3, maybe 1.7

hackers didn't show up until after 1.5. main reason I still thought/think that was the best.

AA just needs to scrap AA3, and work on improving AA2. guarantee it would come back to life if they did that. but we all know they won't.

1.x TO 2.0 .. they should just re-release and call it AA4

I downloaded 1.0 a few days ago just for kicks. I loaded up an offline map, but I can't move or look around - only shoot.

How do I move?

1.5 but Urban was a blast so I would say 2.3 as well. After that the game was just horrible.

Either 2.3 or 2.0a. Both brought in good maps... and off the top of my head, I can't remember having any major issues with either one of them.
