If all matches will require reverend, will we need to launch the server in sv_pure mode?

Reason I'm asking is because we recently purchased a second server, that for unknown reasons, won't allow anyone in when it’s set to pure. I have no clue why it’s happening, and we have contacted our server provider and they are looking into it. If they can't figure it out, we'll have to go to a new server company, and the price is quite nice at this one. But if pure is no longer needed, since reverend basically makes all clients pure, we won't need to worry about looking for a new server.

Take the pure script out of your server configs, it doenst allow you to enter the battle.

We have the exact same server configs as our other server. That server we can enter when we set it to pure, which makes me wonder how it can be a config issue.

And I'm not sure what you mean about the dropping the pure script out of our configs.

We set the UNO server cfg to sv_pure 1 lastnight and restarted SH. Everyone got kicked for invalid PK3 files. We set the cfg to sv_pure 0 and restarted SH and everyone was able to get in through Rev.

So you're saying you couldn't get into your server when it was set to pure with reverand?

Because we can't even get into the server when we are pure and not using reverand or matchwatch.

Yes with pure on in the server.cfg and with MW running on the server. We could not get into server with Rev. Once we turned off pure in the server.cfg, we were good to go.

Make sure it says: set sv_pure 0 in your server.cfg Then restart your server.

pure does not need to be on. mw/rev does a more thorough job.

Ok, then matchwatch has saved our server .

What I meant in my first post was that we can't get into our server when it is set to pure, period. With or without reverand and matchwatch. But since sv_pure must be set to 0 for matchwatch, then we don't have to worry about the pure problem.
