servers and maps.

trying to like this game is hard enough, and to top it off almost all of the decent server's very seldom have a great remade map up? the stock maps I find to be garbage, lots of pointless eye candy. IM SURE that more people would pub if server rotations were full of competition maps ,or some of the better redone t1 t2 maps .

lets try it this way.....

PxR Dallas stayed FULL.....our members were constantly having to kick to get in themselves when we had stock maps

we added some customs...basically the same ones going into the Map Pack now, and the server population dropped almost to zero within a couple days

we took them back off, and bang...back come the players (until most pubbers just finally gave up)

tell the fucking newbs to go get new maps.

#tribes in irc, geezus. that or use that nifty little "global chat" button that comes with t:v... they're not deaf, if you tell them to get maps, they probably will.

What geiss said. no one wants to dl the new maps because A: Their lazy and B: don't care.

Take your ass to Mofo's Casa de Putas. By now everyone should know if you want custom maps that were its at.

wow, so much anger, your making me hot!

people whine about not having new maps, there are servers out there with them, just no one will get those new maps for some reason. i'm angry at the lazy people, not the people that try.

while we're on the topic, why in the sam hell do so many servers still run Utopia?

I think Thin Ice on vengeance would be way to much fun. Slapdash would be awesome to. Yeah - sorry for going kinda offtopic.

Meh matter of opinion - I think skiing on Slap dash would be great on TV, same with thin ice. Either way.

Anyone that even CONSIDERS remaking thin ice should be labotomized..

Actually Thin Ice might would be OK, if you moved the flag to the top of the base. The base structure it's self would actually be pretty interesting for TV, altho the map is a bit large.

I think the overall scale of the map would be perfect for T:V

I'm not going to put any custom maps on my server (not that anyone plays on it) until they are all finalized. I have better things to do than re-adding the same maps over and over while they are being tweaked, not to mentione expecting the players to keep having to re-download the maps over and over as well.

thanks i definitley remember stating in the whole map pack testing thread "DONT PUT THESE MAPS UP YET" cool beans.
