Please scrub give it a rest. Not all of us are fanboys. I came to jk2 from quake 3 where I played in more comps/tourneys than you could ever hope to.
And when I say being an "elite" gunner in a game like this is about the equivalent of pushing a crippled guy out of a wheel chair, I'm not joking.
There are maybe 4-5 really "elite" (I hate that word but I can't think of a better one) gunners in jk2 that no one can touch. Try going to a q3 osp server and you will find 40-50 people on that level and above just in the first few days you play.
By all means you are free to play whatever game you like; no one is slighting you for that. You like jk2 guns? Great more power to you.
But don't sit here and try to slight someone because they have no interest in jk2 guns. A lot of us who do play competitively in other fps's simply see jk2 guns for what they are, slow paced, sloppy splash damage weapons where your primary opponents are sw geeks who didn't even know what strafe jumping was until they started playing jk2.
And as for joining the rest of the world, I really do suggest you pick up a copy of q3/ut2003 and hop on an osp/1v1 server and try to "own". The competition level on pubs is 200x higher than it could ever hope to be in any jk game and that's just pub matches.
That is if you can pry yourself away from your little jeeps long enough to actually learn what real gunning is like.
