It isn't against the rules (I don't think), but in my opinion its kind of rude to post a demo without consent of the other team.

i dont see why it would be rude... its my demo i think i should have the freedom to do what i want to do with it. If people feel that strong about it dont download it (if d-c doenst want it out there) why wouldnt you want it out there?

they have only posted Bolder dash, and that map is good only for the last 20-60 seconds... Have fun with fast forward... hehe

i really wish more people would post demos more often. There are some out there- thanks rooph - but i really do think that it's for the betterment of ren if we as a community would be more open with demos. The higher level of play we all attain - the better ren becomes.

Classic teams share demos because classic is 95 % skill/ 5 % strats.

Renegades is 50% strats/ 50% skill. That is why ren teams don't post demos. If a clan posted there demos the next clan they played would know what they would be coming with and how to counter it. Or know there weak spots.

You Sir, are absolutley right! What it would also do is force people to continously come up with new strats etc...

Anyways, once they use a certain defense, or offensive strat, it is public domain, and really can't be used again.

I dont agree aadic, sorry, maybe you should re think your thinking and then B may win more often.

renegades is like a fine war time enviroment, where your strats for capping/raping/defense are priceless to your team.

Why give away what you have worked so hard to figure out and spent your time on, just so some fool can Fast forward to your demo and copy your techniques exactly.

I agree, I would never share a demo of mine because I have respect for the other team enough to privatize their strats. Everyone knows who your players are, but a demo can tell a lot. Romeo's demo, however SHOULD be the most boring demo you'll ever watch. Those big maps are boring as hell in matches.

i agree also but if you really wanna find the weak spots for other teams, then just watch your damn demos of your team playing them over and over until you figured out there weakness. If everyone posted demos then i guess there would be alot of detpacks =) opps did i say that?

do you honestly use the same strategy every match you play??? i dont know about everyone else but ever match i have ever had i have went in and thunk of a bunch of different strats and applied them to what i thought their offense had strong atributes... for example.. d-c based on what i knew from them i thought they had good HO, so i made a def strat that protected more the base.. i would probably do the same thing with someone like 3g or something like that... but against a team say hk, that i think are very strong cappers... i would do more flag protection..

Trying to have a discussion around here is useless. I am posting MY OPINION, I am allowed to do that, am I not. I don't sit around and watch demos. It is my viewpoint on the subject, excuse the hell out of me for not agreeing with yours.

They want to know our strats? Challenge us. We will gladly give them a first hand demonstration.

Don't get me wrong, though. I am all for helping the community. I just think that helping a new team at the expense of an existing one is teh l00z. There are other ways to help new teams. Going to practices and helping them, for example. Scrimming them.
