Want New CS Maps Added to the Ladder?

I’ve been thinking that you guys might want some new maps to play to help spice up the matches. Here is a list of new maps that I have been considering –

Vertigo
Assault
Canyon Siege
Militia
Italy
Backalley
Oilrig
Tundra
Office
Estate

And passably others if there is grate support for it. If you guys show enough interest in this forum the I well have a map vote for both the CS 2v2 and the 5v5 ladders to decide what maps to add.

I've always wanted to play some deathmatch maps in CS. It would kinda change the way they are played (perhaps). Teamwork might actually be required... ; )

Obvious maps for this genre are the iceworld series. However, I recently created a new DM map that has become a major hit on our servers.

Any thoughts on this?

you should put on some unofficial maps because they are really fun. something like de_box or fy_iceworld.

First off, if you want to play a CS_ / FY_ / ETC map on the CS ladder, create a seperate arena maps ladder please. There is a reason you never see these maps at CPL, if you know what I mean. (CAL map rotation.) If you want to be OGL so be it, but lots of the good clans I promise you will drop off (as tranq0 already did). Strats for CS_ maps .... = suck. Or, lets get 10 people in a server, and see who can pingwhore/fpswhore the other one enough!!! All you need is 2,000 bucks and an Alienware computer, and your set!

I also think Prodigy is already on the list, if not, WTF.

Most custom maps suck. The exclusions being de_clan1_mill, de_clan2_fire and de_recon had potential but I'm not sure if they ever really got anything done with it to fix the bugs. It was used as a preseason map for RGL.

If you add Torn or Chateau, ... it speaks for itself. Nothing more fun then playing with 3 fps trying to shoot someone across the whole map. Weee.

All rights well if there is the support for a CS arena ladder I well try and make that happen. Right now I’m unsure what maps you guys would want for such a ladder, because I haven’t played many of them my self. If one of you guys could post a link to a website that is involved in the creation of those types of maps I would appreciate it, plus if there is a website that has good traditional maps I would like to see it too. (I only need like the top 5 websights)

All right well I there should be a map vote starting shortly, with hopefully most of these maps added to the ladder to make the ladder more dynamic and fun.

any decent team will never lose as t's on a cs_ map cuz all u have to do is camp at hostages or kill them all and hide i mean when my clan practices camper killing we play cs_ maps and when we practice aim it is fy_ or aim_ maps but when we practice strats or just all of the above it is de_ maps. the only map on you list worth adding is oilrig cuz vip_ maps and escape maps are good for clan matches they require the most teamwork of all.

Oilrig should never be on.....and 747 sucks I SAY ASSAULT ALL THE WAY forget the new go witht he old ASSAULT is the way to go
