Anti Cheat Test For CS:S Ladders

We are going to be trying out the XRay anticheat client during the month of February. We will then have a poll and a forum thread to discuss whether we are going continue after the trial. You can download XRay HERE. This is a trial and it is required for all ladders.

as much as a i agree with ya .... it has been proven

Americas Army 2.8.x was using xray anti cheat and preseason caught 2 so think what you may i indeed myself dont like it

hahaha nice work TWL i registered on the forums there and installed the client but it wont let me login i have even tried to diagnose the problem on there website nad nobody has fixed it

1) Its for ladders only.
2) Yes you still have to record demos and take all the regular screenshots

There are 2 different logins. Your login for the program is your email. For the site its your username.

so for me the site is ghettogeddy
the program is ghettogeddy@teamwarfare.com

And its easy to use after that. Just run the program, login(with your email), then run cs:s(you will hear 2 dings both different tones). Once you are done with your match wait a min or 2 and the upload screen shoots button will light up and you click it. sounds hard but its pretty easy.

XAC i think is pretty good. used it since forever in Please do not advertise another league

Sounds great to me, hopefully this will in a sence "Cut the Fat" around here. IMO, the only people not for a good anti cheat system are those who cheat. Fare play for all!

As far as I can tell it is light on resources and definitly a good AC.

xraygaming recommends using "scripts" to enter rcon passwords because xac take screenies of the console. How do I run a script to enter my rcon password? I'm not a big fan of having my rcon password posted for the world to see... thanks...

1 member of my team says it keeps crashing nad he cant get it to work, i did a little reading and found this figured i would post if its gonna be a very common issue. quoted from their support forums:

"Symptoms:
- Xray crushed immediately after trying to login
- Xray accepted your login and password, but it seems that it isnt running (not in tray)

Solution:
1. open xray, and fill some random info to login form
example:
login: bliblabubla
pass: sedkslfdks
2. your login should fail
3. then in the same session fill your working login and password and login
4. xray should be working by now


This behavior experience 3/7 members of our team, most of us are running winXPsp3. Solution worked for everyone."

Can we get it into the League SOON though?

POS Anti-Cheat.
It takes 4 screen shots over a 1 hour period?! How will that catch anyone if they are toggling off/on? Chances are slim.
Also very buggy. And the upload feature is a hassle.

First impression = Failed.

After my last match I waited forever for the Upload Shots button to enable and never did. I have no idea what to doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

It takes a random amount of screenshots, you could play an hour and it might take 4 like you said but then play another hour and it might take 15. If it did it at a set interval then it would be easy to defeat by just knowing when it was going to take the SS.

Random really? Because of us 6 players, the 4 of us that could get it to work, only seemed to have 4 SS's.

No kidding, lol. But it should take one every minute, and just do it randomly within that minute.
