Historical capture recovered from the Wayback Machine · captured 2006-01-01 · 12 posts

With the recent release of Americas Army 2.5 its now time to remember our fallen friend Fedaykin in his Invite 6v6. The question on the lips of the entire community is that of how the new release will affect the teams and players that we have come to know in the last few years. Its now time to put them all to the test, stay tuned and see who comes out top and wins the Fedaykin Memorial Invite 6v6.

Below is a rundown of all the team participating in this year’s competition:

[!n$.^] !n$!d4Z

These guys have been taking a break since 2.4’s release because of its in practicality, but have they still retained their skills. Last season they won the TWL EU 4vs4 Open League and became the Champions. Before they left for their long rest they were exceptionally high in all of their chosen ladders. Will they still be there after 2.5, keep an eye open these are the ones to watch this season.

.[i.] Infinite Plague

Can the recent return of Eddie help them in the upcoming Invite 6v6 competition, time will only tell. The divisions haven’t been set in stone yet, so things aren’t certain I think these guys may be the dark horse in the competition if they can get a suitable run through the first few rounds. They did well towards the end of last season objective 4v4 ladder before they were closed due unforeseen circumstances, but do these guys have what it takes?, Watch this space.

.ptwars Portuguese Warriors

Ptwars are season veterans in Americas Army and have been a hit on the European scene since I can remember. I am sure with their vast experience they will soon adapt their skills to the new patch and be ready to compete at the highest of standard in the upcoming Invite 6v6. Before the leagues and ladders where suspended they were having a great time in the ladders being in the Top 10 for all of them. I wouldn’t under estimate these guys in this competition, and that’s why I feel they have the determination to win.

NATO_ Not another Teen Organization

Well its NATO do I need to say anymore, just the mention of the name to any well informed person in the Americas Army community and they will be able to tell you who they are. They’ve been here for a very long time and have competed in many league competitions in the past, so they’ve definitely got the experience and the hunger to go far. They’ve not won a major league competition for a while, but I still feel they’ve got a chance at this one.

:[1st.PB] 1st.Polish Battalion

Unfortunately 1st.PB is a jekkel and hide side, they sometimes have the right head on, but it’s not consistent. They definitely have the personnel to perform in the leagues and ladder commitments, but can they juggle them. They’ve performed well in the past, and exceptionally well in the ladders, but their league performances let them down. Is it the pressure? Let’s see if they can prove themselves this year.

^3rd-RB Third Rangers Battalion

They’ve managed to finish first on every ladder they have competed on over the last few seasons, and now its time to prove themselves with Europe’s 1337 Americas Army clans. Do they have what it takes?, Well I think they do, and so do many others, but with the playing field being leveled substantially by the release of 2.5 its going to go down to the wire, I can’t wait can you.

=(wA`tNc)= we Ain't No clan

After just recently beating uNk I’d say this clan is the favorites to win the invite league, after all the disappointments when uNK were not invited into the invite league. Am afraid it’s not up to me to select the teams, but it would have been a great sight to see the revenge match against these two teams. After seeing some of their players playing post 2.5 I feel the players have adapted well to the patch, and are ready for the challenge of the upcoming Invite 6v6, this team is definitely one to put your money on.

-hfd. High FiDelity

This clan is a massive organization they play every game under the sun, and still have time for more. So for this fact I feel they got the motivation, and tactics needed to perform well in the upcoming invite league competition. Successive wins on their ladders have set them in good stead , but the new patch has put a new spanner in the works , and the big question on every clans lips is, Will we be ready for the matches ahead of us? With HFD ‘experience I feel they have the correct plans in place to win. Another strong team here and they also could all the way if they put their minds to it.

[Majestic] Majestic

A new team this season to enter the fray which are the invite leagues, they where picked by the above 8 teams so they must have some talent. After a strong performance in the Summer Series tournaments and on the Temporary ladders I am sure they are ready for the uphill struggle which the Invite 6v6 will be for them. Overall I think these guys are a well balanced team capable of performing well in their first major league competition.

Fx Frag eXecutors

Another newcomer this season, they’ve perform well also in the summer series Tournaments reaching the final in the 4v4 weapons cache and winning the urban assault tournament. Am sure the experience gathered in both these summer series tournaments will help them in this seasons invite league Also with strong performances in the ladders am sure they’ll be ready to face the big boys. I feel these guys are another dark horse, and could all the way give the chance.

DSF Dutch Special Forces

This great bunch of players have recently come back from a break from the game because of 2.4, but the question is do they still have their skills to compete effectively in the upcoming competition. With 2.5 being an entirely different ball game, to anything seen before it will be interesting how they fair. Overall though they have got some good players with some great experience when it comes to tournament play and I feel they could put some very big dints in some big clans this season.

[.ops] Shadow ops

These guys took IoG.eu spot in the Invite League this season, but they are not newcomers to this competition. All you need to do is look at their achievements they’ve finished 1st on nearly every ladder they have competed on, and have managed to do well in many of last seasons Tournaments. They’ve got a lot of great guys who I know will adapt to 2.5 very smoothly and I am sure with their exceptional commitment to performing well on every level be it 4v4, 6v6 they have a great chance of going to the final.

I think it was because Elak* felt iog.eu were too inactive for the 6v6 ladder... correct me if i'm wrong..

He askes why did you put some teams in the invite just because they have played well in the temporary ladders.

I think its cause IoG had only 5 active players.. that decision was made when people thought it'll be 6 vs 6 as planed.

Anyway, ops realy deserved a spot in the invite leage and I think they should've been there in the first place, and not as "spot takers"
