Accomplished WHAT Exactly?

***This post is my view on a comment made in another thread (Lock up your Women). It's mineminemine, and not necessarily anyone else's. I've wanted to post something on this subject for some time, so here goes. If I name names, so be it...it's not intended as a flame, but it is what's on my mind. Hopefully it doesn't get locked ***

ROFL What BoRo accomplished? HAHAHAHAHAHA! I know I'm gonna get in poop for posting this, but FFS, come on.

Give your head a shake...the only thing BoRo accomplished was to demonstrate the worst attributes of an online gaming clan...namely a complete and utter lack of class, integrity and goodwill towards others.

Lemme tell ya something...there's nothing to be admired about a clan that continually put down almost every team they played; that's just adolescent ignorance. I could certainly name one person in particular who just had to tell the world how great he was, but WTH, everyone knows who that person is. It's been done.

BoRo had talent, nobody ever said otherwise. But talent without class = immaturity. Most readers on these forums laughed AT BoRo, not with them. And that lack of class is precisely the reason why they should be pitied, not admired.

Look, BoRo once beat D12C and took first place in a SH ladder. Then they left the ladder, but not before making complete asses of themselves with their bragging. Bragging about what exactly? Winning a single match and then buggering off? Whoopdie-ding. Gee, how impressive. (hello staying power??? Oops, none there I guess).

The kicker to all this...I heard comments on TS from my clan's participants after the match that basically said "Helluva good match". There was a measure of respect for the way BoRo played the maps.

Naiive me and stupid me, I went to BoRo's website to post a "well done" message...instead I find a whole load of smack talk sh_t about how BoRo OWNED D12C (OMFG...a difference of 1 point was an OWN?), and how BoRo (through ingeneous coersion) managed to get D12C to agree to a rocketless match. And I quote "D12C thought it over and signed away their #1 the moment they agreed" LOL (the irony here: their so-called leader belittled himself and his clan's abilities by suggesting that BoRo was incapable of exploiting a rocket user's weaknesses, yet, they smiled adoringly at their God)

Contrast this to an impromtu scrim 3 members from D12C (including old fart me) had with UNO the other night on their public server. We won some, they won some, but at no point did anyone start posting sh_t about owning...no insults, no smack talk, just a great game of pick me up. I think [UNO]Sweeper and I (whom I had never met before incidently) spent more time laughing at each other's kills (peek-a-blam!) than we did worrying about whose ego was getting bruised. Why?

Because IT'S A FRIGGIN GAME. And it's supposed to be FUN. We were competitive as hell in that scrim, but we were laughing all the way. The [UNO] players in that scrim showed class. And so do 90% of the other players in the MOH ladders.

There's nothing wrong with posting some psychological warfare before a match...hell, the competitive spirit is part of being a clan.

So T. Wrecks has thrown down the gauntlet...don't whine...go pick it up, and shove it up his bum in a match! (if you can LOL).

BUT...keep in mind there's always someone better than you out there. It'll serve everyone well to be magnaminous in defeat as well as in victory.

(Grandpa Simpson imitation) No I don't. Like the time back in 34 when I was in DeMoines, now THERE's a town that knew how to hold a parade, course back then prohibition was in full swing and the coppers, well they'd kick your ass for looking sideways at em, but not in Fort Wayne cuz THAT was an Army town full of crew cuts and guns, but the ladies there liked men with hats and...

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
Dammit Trap dont ficken stop like that.
Well done...

...27 minutes later...and THAT's how the old Hogshead unit of measurement became what is commonly called the Imperial Gallon today. Course, those Canadjians, well they're all messed up with the metric system. Wouldn't know an inch if they had 8 of em. Reminds me of the time back in WWII when I was in Italy. See, the Italians, well they...

(what's that locking noise?)
Cool, will do.

Remind me to wear my hockey helmet next time.
