So I played the full version of UT2k3

It's basically more of the same, with very pretty graphics. (and the whole managing a team aspect is new too)

I think the only thing that shows promise in the game is the game type called Bombing Run...

Its not REAL, its UNREAL!!

The Beta and the "full game" that played will most likely be completly different from the final release.

Ok, just to clear a few things up.

There are two different versions of UT2003 floating around the internet - one is a demo, from or before E3. This is VERY buggy, and shouldn't be tried by anyone :P However, there is a "full" version beta build of the game, which includes all maps, game modes, menus etc. I'm sure there are things that will be changed within it for the final release (for instance, the minimum install for this "full" version is 1.9gigs, and the full install is 4.2gigs. Presumably all textures/files/music are completely uncompressed - though this makes it load fast )

Also, it is thoroughly illegal to be in posession of either of these! Not only that, but you really are NOT gonna find a link to it, in the normal sense of the word. No one (hopefully) is stupid enough to host such a file on their server - unless it was illegally placed there, but I'm sure the owner would notice soon enough

The only place you'd find them would be in newsgroups, IRC, and p2p programs such as Kazaa...

As I said, very illegal, so don't get them!

Bombing run is fun, but only for those 2 hours you play.

3/10 Gameplay *because* SAME OLD SHIT, jesus, we've had these types of games for the last 7 years if not longer.
7/10 Functionality - The game functions good, they need easier menus.

Tribes 2 May have sucked when it first came out, and to some still, but T1 and t2 are the most complex games on the market in FPS style. The versatility of these games are a step beyond ANYTHING else out on the market. The only reason there arent 10000 people playing right now, is because of the CD-Key's and the registration.

and what make that statement even more ridiculous? You can buy T2 new off hte shelf for like $15 now....so even the warez kiddies can afford it out of their lunch money....go figure

Actually I hope more companies use the T2 style registration process, just so you can completely kill accounts of the fools that try & mess up the games for everyone.......we've been playing T2 since it came out and havent had to kick or ban anyone off our server in a LONG time.....with the ability to tie the player to a certain account number, you can stop them cold
