Got one to rent out..

Specs:
CPU: 1.3 TBird
Mem: 1.2 gig of Ram
Con: OC3 based
Name: Valhalla LT - but has all maps installed
IP: 216.226.130.78
2.00$ a player..

Check it out....

It's my own box, and I get a Special deal.

Can't ping it as it is set up to keep the kiddies from DOS attacks

2 dollars a player, at 10 players is 20 dollars for one practice, 40 for a match

lets say you practice twice a week, that's 40 a week x 4 weeks is 160 a month, if you have 2 matches that's 240 a month

that's not cheap, that's highway robbery

I think the only issue you're going to run into is that there are so many servers out there right now that aren't getting any play and can be used for free.

Yah, I know what you mean Zombee. I might make it a T2 server and up the cost a little per player..

what if you want to leave it open as a pub during the month, do you pay per person that joins? is it charged per static ip or per nick? or could someone pay you 50 a month flat and have it open as a pub 24/7?

also, what kind of access would the buyer have to the server? i'd be willing to pay 48 a month to have a stable pub server that I had access to instantly upload new maps to at my whim...if i had to wait for someone else to do it though....

Say that you want a 24 man Pub server xpdnc. It would cost 48.00$ a month, no matter who plays on it. It's yours to do with as you like. You would have full FTP access to it also, to change maps, lock it, change server name, install zadmin, whatever. Check it out and see if it pings and plays well for you...
