FIXED: Just had to update my drivers THROUGH WINDOWS XP or (windowsupdate.microsoft.com) Ughh frustrating.
=============================
Unhandled exception: c0000005
At adress: 00000000

I believe this problem is based on Tribes 2's need to be played on OpenGL. I remember there was an "OpenGL" download fix for games like this...can anybody refer it to me?
=============================
I have an NVIDIA RIVA TNT Model64 32MB video card, running on XP's automatic drivers version 5.6.7.3 from 4/27/2004, on a Pentium 4 2.4GHz. And DirectX 9.0c.

I just formatted my computer to install the game and got the errors, so that should tell you something. The problem occurs when I tried to load up tribes2.exe or alternatively thru PJ's script "T2 Online.exe."

The game starts to load up but never gets to the splash screen or intro videos. Seconds after trying to load the game, screen goes black trying to load, I'm kicked out to the desktop where you see:
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/6692/tribeserror05or9.jpg

and after you click ok it is followed by this:
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/336/tribeserror06wt0.jpg

and clicking for details results in:
http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/7494/tribeserror07an9.jpg
which states theres a problem with the tribes2.exe.

This is an interesting error in Mircrosoft's database:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316591.

The UE guide at:
http://www.planettribes.com/tribes2/troubleshooting/ue.shtml
does not work and neither is the troubleshooting txt file from Sierra. The Tribes 2 First Aid did find that some of my installation files were invalid. But after fixing them the problems still remain.

Also note, that Tribes 2 was working on my same exact PC 6 months prior to my reformat!

No one plays t2? or cares about t2?
For use with the tnt2 class cards I always run the 30.82 or 28.XX driver from the nvid archive. You can find it at their site. Using newer drivers on a tnt card is probably going to cause probs as they no longer write code for the tnt2s, just the 8XXX series cards. Might as well run one that was actualy optimised for the tnt.

Also, I would delete all of the pj scripts, and delete all .dso files found in any t2 folders. You should delete them because they are precompiled files that the game will read from your last attempt at playing. This is a source for the unhandled exception. The game will compile new .dso's, hopefully ones that do not generate ue's.

I would also set the game color depth to 16bit, and no more than 800x600 resolution. The tnt is marginaly ok for t1, but t2 stresses it out.
