Trouble with lasthope

Ever since I installed the latest patch I've been 996ing every now and then. It seems like it's been getting worse (more frequent) and now sometimes after I lag I get kicked for not having the patch or for my models being different. I have all default models except for disk, for which I use rocket disk. I'm almost certain it's not my connection because this has never happened before I installed the patch. The only other change I've made to my computer since it started was to install limewire, but I make sure it's closed. (ctrl +alt +delete, toolbar, etc.)

This happens on every server. Sometimes my ping gets better, sometimes it gets better then lags again, sometimes I get kicked for something lh related. Does anyone know what's going on?

you might want to make sure limewire is off, because even if you do ctrl+alt+delete it could still be on and someone could be uploading from you.

if that all fails, #theonionpatch and pm posr.

I believe you're getting kicked because of the lag, LH is probably checking up on you, and when it can't verify, you get kicked.
Also, if you have modified the tribes T1 network settings in your clientprefs.cs (packet changes), I have heard that that will get you too.

limewire has two exe processes running in background...go to windows task manager and delete them both and see if that helps.

Thanks guys. My Network settings are set to default T1 settings. (packet size 400, etc.)

NeverRetreat: do you know what the processes are called? I don't see anything that looks like limewire still running. I also have itunes, but I've had it for a long time with no problems.

when is the 1.30 patch gonna be availablr for servers. I see servers with it but i cant find it anywhere..

hmmm...now that I'm looking for it, the darn thing isn't showing up for me either. I'll keep looking and post when I see it.

I think you have to get it directly from posr, try him in irc in #theonionpatch

hmm, just went an entire morning with no problems. I guess it probably is limewire or some other program. I guess I'll stop whining about lasthope
