Summer 2025 Update

Weekly Game Night Expansion

Our TWL game nights have delivered some hot action over the last couple of months with "The Finals" which has kept things really fresh and inadvertedly set us up for upcoming Battlefield 6 Open Beta release which boasts tactical destruction and fast-paced combat not unlike the other game! We'll be hosting events in our discord to give us all a chance of squadding up and kicking around those BF6 betas on Aug 9 and Aug 14. We've also seen a persistent amount of activity with Marvel Rivals which really nails the hero shooter experience in a way we haven't quite seen before. Come visit us and reconnect with old friends in Discord and put a round or two in!

New features and deep dive debugging

The Chronophoto ladder test is now rapidly advancing to emphasize edge cases and polish, we caught some big issues that were only apparent as the ladder matured which were incorrectly reporting wins/losses in certain cases which required a lot of tracing to try to understand. We'll be doing another cycle through with extremely rapid iterations to try to capture any more of these anomalies while we have also taken on new features such as event listings and deeper integration with rant boards as well as maturation of our Discord features. We're excited to have implemented the majority of functions that allow for ladder matches and are now looking at scaling up and running parallel ladders.

Ladder growth

With those features on the docket we're going a bit deeper on our existing relationships and moving ahead with some potential admins to flesh out those ladders in anticipation of running several side-by-side. If you're interested in hosting a ladder for your community don't hesitate and get in touch - we're still some weeks away from handling the next queue but there's lots of work that runs up to launching a ladder which benefits from planning, promo, etc which needs to be done in the first place anyway.
