As the warmth of spring settles in, we're excited to open up a fresh new wave of activities. It's time to get your game on and start reconnecting with our community!
We're announcing TWL game nights, these will be regular hosted events where you can find some teammates and try out a few games you might not have had a chance to kick around before. We'll be starting with "The Finals" which provides a truly visceral experience in a highly destructable environment while being a F2P game that also has many competitive elements. The game nights are meant to be relatively casual (but that doesn't mean we won't try to win!) introductions to one another and the titles we're playing. We're also open to accomodating folks that want to host their own weekly game nights, but we'd like to make sure that you're comfortable with our setup and goals so if you're interested in hosting please contact us on discord and let's get to it!
The Chronophoto ladder continues to receive focus as we iron out bugs and add new features. We're also anticipating adding another, more public ladder for testing purposes which will allow us to flex the core features of the system and perfect those base functions that are common throughout all ladders. We are aware of the issue that the current test ladder has regarding calculating uncontested ladder shifts as losses as well as some team swapping challenges which are all next up for improvement before we start polishing off team creation and more public features. The next version of the ladder will be available soon and also include challenge height limits (up to this point challengers are able to go from the bottom to the #1 spot which is not the way we intend it all to run.)
The amount of effort required to set up a new ladder includes planning, testing, and implementation - it cna be a lot! If you're interested in helping out with this effort please hit us up on discord and be ready to start out with the rulesets which end up dictating the rest of the flow and features for competition. As always, we're more than happy to support you and your community in whatever way we can so let us know what you're looking for, just sharpen those pencils and reach out!
