This might be a long ass thread about what Tribes 3 should be or what to do.
Here's what I think you have to do:
1) Finalise a working physics model before mappers get their hands on it. That way bad maps are because of bad mappers, not because of continuous speed increases by different modders.
2) Do not release it early.
3) Do not leak any information until you can solidify a date.
4) Either limit scripts, or force install all the major ones. 20 months later and people still have no idea about recticles or waypoints. Make it so that everyone has the same setup during competition. It bothers me that some people are racing with 'stock' setups and others with 'souped up' ones, yet competiting on the same ladder.
5) Toughest one is -> All vehicles, equipment, armor must be useful. This one sounds reasonable yet, some mod makers apparently don't think so.
No need to get into "I want fixed in Tribes 3" arguments. Cause gawd damn it there are 4 major ones for T2 and still there isn't a concensus. The dev will figure basics. We just need to remind them about the big ideas.
