Open Source Battlefield, Paintballers & Platform Evolved
As the winter chill settles in and we prepare for the next phase of our rollout, TeamWarfare League is turning up the heat. We have a massive slate of updates to tell you about, ranging from a philosophy shift in how we handle competitive Battlefield experiences to a brand new friendship that brings professional paintball to your screen.
In a first for our competitive Battlefield support, we are officially open sourcing our Battlefield 6 Portal experiences.
We believe that competitive settings shouldn't be a black box. By moving our Logic, Spatial settings, and Rule definitions to GitHub, we are ensuring transparency, better version control, and - most importantly - giving you the ability to contribute.
You will soon be able to view the exact code behind our experiences, file issues if you find bugs, and even submit Pull Requests to improve the competitive meta. The repository link will be shared very soon!
We have been busy preparing: playing BF6 regularly in Discord, setting up and rigorously testing experiences for 2v2, 4v4, 8v8, 10v10, and 12v12 formats. Now, we need your help to cross the finish line.
To kick off this new era, we are hosting our first Big Public Test for these open-source experiences. We need tankers and infantry to stress-test the logic and spatial boundaries. Getting this right will be followed by opening the smaller ladders and taking those lessons and applying them to 10v10. We've had a lot of help already, we need to scale up a little more so that we can bring the best BF6 TWL experience we can!
We are incredibly excited and honoured to announce that the Paintballers ladder is launching imminently on TWL!
We have been working closely with Black Zebra to support their vision of a truly authentic paintball experience. Paintballers: Major League Paintball MLPB 2025 isn't just another shooter - it is a meticulously designed simulation built by professional players.
Why we're excited:
The ladder is already open for signups. Grab your marker, form your squad, and get ready to climb.
We've launched a brand new way to showcase your matches and bring the community closer to the action.
We encourage all streamers to connect their Twitch account by visiting their TWL Profile settings. Once connected, whenever you go live, your stream will automatically be featured on the ladder pages - provided you are on an active roster for a team in that competition.
It's the best way to get eyes on your team and scout the opposition! Check it out
While you've been fighting on the frontlines, our dev team has been entrenched in code. Since our last update, we've deployed a massive wave of improvements to make the TWL platform faster, safer, and more global.
