Forums and test ladders

Ladder improvements

We're currently running internal test ladders and cleaning up roster management and challenge issue/acceptance integration. With systems already at a point where we can run competitions priority is now being placed on a few quality-of-life improvements (nicer notifications, better screen layouts and more intuitive functions) as we turn our heads toward connecting with players and potential admins and getting started on kicking up some gaming activity.

Forums launched

A long time staple of the TWL experience has been the comms and banter, there were so many good discussions to be had. Though a lot of the gaming world has moved on to heavily using Discord we feel that offering forums alongside Discord gives everyone a better way to communicate and have a good idea. The ever-scrolling reality of Discord requires attention to pinned posts and clunky threads and encourages daily interaction so you don't miss anything, thus the new forums are launched for you to use at your own pace. We're still structuring some and open to all types of feedback, we hope you'll join us in this phase and enjoy reconnecting with good ole memories.

Spreading our wings

While discussions with folks that would like to get back to competition are taking place we'd also like to point out that there's a few of us that are using TWL as our home base. We're there to chat and play and are more than happy to dip in to some nostalgia as we are a couple rounds of The Finals or most other games. We'll be announcing whenever we do this kind of thing (on the site here with "Upcoming Events" as well as Discord calendar and more) and are more than happy to share this ability with others. Please do drop by and let us know what's on your mind and/or what you're looking to play and we'll be glad to circle around and see what we can do together!
