Battlefield 2042 Portal Experiences, Space Engineers and testing the ladder software
The last year has seen a great amount of challenges conquered, personal, professional and otherwise. We're currently testing the next major version of the TWL Ladder API which represents a significant milestone before reaching (alpha) release. This current test is all about getting the new roster management system properly tuned; creating teams, joining them, applying, accepting, denying, promoting and demoting! When we complete this piece we will be opening up a broader inititive and inviting some people to run through some simulated match tests so that we can get on with the ladders.
It's been over a year since Battlefield 2042 launched - and not without its controverseys! - that said, the game experience has significantly improved, and though a competitive scene for it will likely never truly thrive there has been a marked increase in good rounds played and some really amazing stuff coming out from Portal! TWL's Polykatana has been spending months coding up some of the visions he's had for game modes and we're really excited to offer them to anyone interested. Make sure you stop by to read about our first BF 2042 Portal experience called "You Get What You Get", we've already had a good amount of testing but would like to expand to a regular night to play it as well as inviting anyone to play on their own time with their own friends or even bots.
Along similar lines to Battlefield Portal we also have a wonderful Space Engineers server which, among other things, adds over 30 new planets and moons scattered across 4 new and distant systems. Don't count on being able to see it all easily, you're going to have to carefully manage resources and develop a myriad of solutions in order to be able to explore all of it. There's a lot more details on our Cloud Chamber Space Engineers Server page, connect today and try it out with the others!
Our mission is to deliver a positive, competitive community environment; in order to do that, we rely on community members to assemble and run leagues, ladders and events for their favourite games. We provide the infrastructure, support and experience to make it happen - if you're a writer, developer, designer, event organizer, former admin, team leader, etc. and are interested in helping out please check out our admin page for more details and instructions on how to apply.
